Unboxing: Maburaho Complete Thinkpack DVD Boxset by ADV

Okay now this is going to be a long story. I ordered this about almost 3 weeks ago and it was supposed to arrive in 10 days from my order. Well it didn't arrive when I wanted it to so I was scrapping to find what happened to my package. Apparently UPS delivered it to the wrong place. So I'm calling all around and I a few days a later I find it is in a warehouse. I just received my package yesterday. It was a hellish experience but yeah. I got my package.

Maburaho is a rare find. And apparently ADV released two different thin pack box-sets. Each had different artwork on the box. I don't know why it was done like this but still I got the earlier version. I don't know what the difference was between the later thinkpack released in 2009 and the one released before ADV flopped.

I went and saw Robo Cop!

Okay so yeah, I saw Robo Cop last week, and because of that I caught a cold and have been sick since then. Anyways, enough of my whining. As a warning if you don't want to be spoiled over bits of the movie, then don't scroll down.

Upon seeing the movie, I thought that it was done really well as a re-imagining. Director José Padilha and screenwriter, Joshua Zetumer did an excellent job. RoboCop's black form was pretty awesome made it look all sinister.  But what the remake movie did not do was explain exactly how he was able to kill Raymond Sellers. In the old 1987 movie, RoboCop overwrote the program controlling him. But in the newer movies, RoboCop forces himself to shoot Raymond Sellers in the end. This could be speculated that it was due the fact that his right hand was the only thing left human of him, or that he powered through human emotions.

Another thing that differed from the movie was that RoboCop in the older movies still had his upper half of his body still alive. In the 2014 remake, what is revealed under the mechanical parts his that only RoboCop/Alex Murphy's Head, lungs and esophagus remains. It was rather grotesque to see those lungs pulsating and your first impression is "how is he able to still be alive".  But this perfectly shows the horror that is thrown upon Alex Murphy after he wakes up from his accident, only to find he has become a machine.

Also the movie holds a cameo of the 1987 RoboCop where he transforms with the lights on his shoulders.

Also much of those unmanned machines reminded me of the gekos from Metal Gear Solid 4. It gave out a dystopia cyberpunk future world. The only thing I will have to dislike about the movie is the fact that it's rating went from an R to PG-13, and that did hamper on some of my enjoyment as the PG-13 movie made the fight scenes someone watered down.

This movie did great in its execution and was watchable. Fans may argue that the original was superior to the remake. I will have to disagree. The remake did a great job. It's a recommended see if you don't mind watching a bit more family-friendly version of RoboCop.

Unboxing: Momo Belia Deviluke 1/6th PVC by Max Factory

So yeah I'm pretty excited. Got my sexy To Love-Ru Darkness figurine of Momo Belia Deviluke. This is probably one of the best manufactured figurines from To Love-Ru I've seen. She's sculpted very well and stands at 250mm tall. This is pretty obvious since the distributor is Good Smile. You can watch the full video below of the unboxing. Forgive my awkward speech. I'm not used to being in front of a camera yet.

The figurine can be found at Amiami at a low price of 7,820 yen not including shipping tax. You can also find it at get the figurine will also be at the Crunchyroll Shop which is selling it for $83.00 for non-members and $77.00 for a premium member. This includes shipping costs.  I have no clue when it will be in stock at Crunchyroll. Buyers beware of Ebay. They sell fakes or bootlegs quite often. I hope this helped.

Dvd props for MMD.

Hey, everyone. This is the first post that I'm making. Today I was messing around with some PMDmodels and made some dvd accessories for MikuMikuDance. For those who don't know what this program is, this is an animation program that lets Vocaloid characters dance. Anyways, Google it. But back to what I was doing.

So applying the textures was kinda tricky. Here is the the picture of the front. Realistic looking right? This is the box.

So I found trouble with the backside. It would mirror so all the text was backwards. So I had to flip the image. This was pretty annoying.

Here is are pictures of the DVD case. The problem I noticed here was that the image that i had just flipped the image but it was mirrored again. I just made a copy, flipped the image and changed the parameter in PMX/PMD Editor for the picture to fix the problem. If you notice the case, it looks like a case meant for a Blu-ray right? Well the images i used were for DVD only, so I made due.

And the last pictures are pictures of the CD itself. Now the original model base was messed up, therefore there were texture problems, but it looks fine.

I zipped everything you can get it in the link.
